GET THE LOOK: Carena West Swimsuit shoot

Fun, flirty swimwear calls for glamourous beach beauty. For the latest Carena West Swim collection, Emma was made up by Stephanie from Beauty Guru. Fresh, simple hair and makeup was on the menu.

Glowing, dewy skin is in.

To achieve this look, less is always more. Emma's skin was prepped with a generous amount of M.A.C Strobe Cream to give a luminous glow. M.A.C Face and Body Foundation was then buffed into the skin on a fluffy stippling brush for a natural finish. Changing over from a flat foundation brush can completely change the way foundation looks, and will make your product go a lot further.

To cover minor dark circles under the eyes, a tiny amount of concealer was applied with a clean fingertip. Powder was applied on a small eyeshadow brush only to the sides of the nose and the chin. Using minimal powder keeps skin looking super fresh.

Draw the line

Stephanie applied a bold black liquid liner on Emma, with an extended flick for drama. Using a tiny liner brush and and black gel liner is a great option to get a precise, sharp edge to your liner. Strong eyeliner is often all you need on the eyes; pair with a nude eyeshadow to keep the focus on the flicks.

Emma's eye makeup was finished with two coats of Lancome Hypnose, a buildable volumising mascara. Wiggle and zig-zag your mascara brush through the lashes to separate and lengthen without clumping.

No look is complete without brows; comb through with a clean mascara wand before filling in the eyebrows with a soft matte powder for natural definition.

The look was completed with a rosy pink cream blush applied to the apples of the cheeks, and a soft pink lip. Steph applied lipstick to the centre of Emma's lips, then buffed it to the edges with a cotton bud for a natural flushed look, and finished with a dab of clear lip gloss.

Beachy locks

Soft, textured curls are an effortless look, and take minimal effort. Emma's hair was prepped with KMS Makeover Spray (a dry shampoo that adds grit and volume) and KMS Playable Texture spray, and then curled in random sections with a GHD iron.

The curls were brushed out to give a soft wave, and then a few more were added on the top section of the hair for texture. Steph applied more KMS Playable Texture to finish, and gently worked the top layers with her hands to give a "bed-head" texture.
